A James II bronze fragment (the foot and ankle) from the statue of King William III, College Green, modelled by Grinling Gibbons, late 17th century, the foot standing on a later stained timber base, inserted with lightweight cement, together with a postcard illustrating an image of the statue in College Green.

      There are scratches, scuff and abrasions overall consistent with age. There is apparent weathering of the surfaces with associated spots of oxidisation. There is a small loss to the edge of the upper rim with an associated loss underneath.
