Two school reports for Denis Hickie from St. Mary's College, Rathmines. The opened 1987 report has the observation 'Dennis has made good progress this term, but he could do better if he could concentrate more and be less fidgety in class.'

Denis Hickie was one of the best wingers Ireland ever had. Born in 1976, he attended St Mary’s in Rathmines (where this report is from) before going on to college in UCD. Hickie was known as Disco Denis on the pitch – a tribute to his dancing feet – and represented Ireland on 51 occasions.

A silver poster with a black design of a woman in a circle for the nightclub Elizabeth on Lesson's Street. Can be dated 1969.

Elizabeth’s was Leeson Street’s first and most famous discotheque. Owned by colourful promoter and DJ Maurice Boland, it sparked an explosion of nightclubs on Leeson Street. The Elizabeth in question is Liz Willoughby, a prominent woman in Dublin at the time.
